Dr. Thompson began practice in Las Vegas in 1981 and joined Dr. Mackay to form Orthopaedic Specialists of Nevada. Dr. Thompson has a general Orthopaedic practice including arthroscopic surgery, sports medicine, foot surgery, and joint replacement surgery. He is Board Certified. Dr. Thompson is married and has two children. His hobbies include biking, skiing, fishing, golf, reading, and traveling.

Dr.
Thompson attended the University of Nebraska and the University
of Nebraska College of Medicine. He did an internship and one year
of General Surgery training at Highland-Alameda County Hospital
in Oakland, California, This was followed by Orthopaedic training
in the Phoenix Combined Orthopaedic Residency Program in Phoenix,
Arizona,
