OUR PRACTICE
While some Orthopaedic practices specialize in one or two sub-specialties, the physicians at Orthopaedic Specialists have expertise in all sub-specialty areas of orthopaedic medicine. The practice has been serving the community of Las Vegas for nearly 25 years. Founded in 1979, Orthopaedic Specialists is now a seven-physician group considered a leader in the medical community. All of our physicians are certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, as well as the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery.

On site X-ray services are available to all of our patients. The addition of our own freestanding multi-specialty surgery center in the fall of 2001 has allowed our physicians’ greater efficiency and flexibility in providing surgical procedures to our patients.

The physicians of Orthopaedic Specialists have privileges at University Medical Center, Valley Hospital and Summerlin Hospital. In addition, the physicians have privileges at Sahara Surgery Center, Flamingo Surgery Center, and Specialty Surgery Center.

OUR OFFICE
Centrally located in the heart of Las Vegas, our practice is located at 701 S. Tonopah Drive. Orthopaedic Specialists is a full service state-of-the-art orthopaedic office with a large comfortable waiting room, twenty (20) patient exam rooms and two fully equipped X-ray suites. We have physician and professional staff that are bilingual to address the needs of our Spanish-speaking patients.

Our billing office is located in-house; ensuring patient concerns about their financial obligations can be given immediate and accurate attention. Our billing office has a dedicated phone line to handle incoming patient calls.

Our office is open Monday thru Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Our telephone is answered 24 hours a day. After regular office hours and on weekends, the phone is answered by our answering service who will notify the doctor on call of any emergencies. In observance of New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas, our office is closed.

APPOINTMENTS
In an attempt to provide efficient delivery of health care, patients are seen by appointment only. The staff is instructed to ask patients a few questions about the nature of their problem so that care can be properly directed and sufficient time arranged for their visit with us. We ask patients to bring their X-rays, health insurance cards and a referral form from their primary care physician to their appointment.

On average, our existing patients wait no longer than 20 minutes in our waiting room. Our office has also adopted dedicated appointment schedulers who forward our patients all necessary paperwork prior to the visit, decreasing the time spent in the waiting room filling out forms.

Our appointment standards are as follows:

:: Follow Up care patient scheduled within one week

Keep your appointments
If you must cancel an appointment, please let us know as early as possible. That way, we can reschedule a convenient time for you. If you let us know early, we can schedule another patient who may be waiting for an appointment. Our office is open from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
